Stopped by the clinic this afternoon to check on her. I really didn't know if I'd get to see her, but thought Doc might have a couple of seconds to tell me what was happening. The girl at the desk said, "Hi! Do you want to see Meg? Doc will be with you in just a few minutes." Now, this being an unscheduled visit I thought... "Oh God. He wants to talk to me in private about how dire the situation is." Wrong. He came out, said "Would you like to see your baby?"
Off we go to the "recovery room". She's in her crate, right by the door. I walked in and said "Hi, pretty girl!" One ENORMOUS tail thump on the floor of her crate.Doc told me everything they are pumping into her and each time he spoke, she turned her head adoringly toward him. She likes the sound of his voice and I told him so. "Oh yes... she really likes attention and affection." he said. GOOD DOC!
Still too early to see what course we will take, but I felt so much better for just seeing that tail thump and her respond so beautifully to Doc. Oh... he asked how all my other dogs are (in case the Lepto test comes back positive) and I told him they are all just fine. He was glad to hear that.
I'll go back in the morning around 10:00.
