Some bad news and some fun news

First for the bad news. Freckles is going to have additional surgery on that knee as apparently the repair failed. He was doing really well and then in the last few days it got worse. The Vet said that the knot may have slipped and allowed the joint to move out of place again. On top of this surgery Duke will also undergo a procedure to remove several lumps. One on his back was aspirated and showed fat however the Vet was a bit concerned over its location so he will check it out. There are three other lipomas that he will remove at the same time.
Now I will have two convalescing patients to care for.

The fun news is that this weekend I will enter three of my paintings in a juried art show. I will submit two new works and one I completed last fall. This show is the annual Stars of Texas exhibit in Brownwood Texas.

And this landscape is of a high meadow in the Canadian Rockies




And the last one I will submit is "Aurora II"
