    Default Orange beach Alabama

Has anyone been? We are trying to decide where we are going for Vacation and we are looking at orange beach. What was your experience? Did you rent a beach house? What other attractions are around? Was it a good price or a little to expensive? We don't know if we will take any of the dogs but fi we decide we want to take one of them(probably be Mae as she is easy to travel with) are they dog friendly? Was the water clear or is it still nasty from the oil spill?

This is what I'm talking about in case there is more then one Orange beach, lol. Orange Beach Alabama - Alabama Beaches - Gulf Coast Beaches

to the best of my knowledge dogs aren't allowed on the beach anywhere there .......we've been, but not overnight, my kids live about 2 hours from there and we made a day trip.

Don't know. My parents just returned from Gulf Shores, (Alabama). They said it was beautiful. White sandy beaches. No sign of the oil spill, BUT they have people who collect the tar balls that still wash up. They said the people collect them every few days. It wasn't super warm between 10 and 20 Celsius every day which was way warmer than here, but not warm according to most living in the southern states.

My parents never actually saw a tar ball as the people who collect them are out super early.

Thanks, I was looking at some of the beach houses and they said pets allowed in the house so I wasn't sure about the beach. It's fine though if we take Mae she hates water. If I took Bentley or Tank it would be torture for them! I'm glad there is no oil left except for the oil balls The reason my mom wants to go is because of the sand, haha. She loves white sand.
