This is the view from the Denmark Hill water tower about 10 mins drive from home. Not the best day for decent pics with the clouds but what the hell.
They were taken from the top of here:

The red roofs on the right are the university of QLD
Amberley AFB is behind the row of trees in the background
My house is in the far right of the pic somewhere

You can just see the tops of the buildings in the Brisbane CBD on the horizon
Meanwhile while these pics were being taken, some dummy left their car parked with the windows down in the car park.
But no need to worry. There was a savage guard dog protecting it.

Are things more or less back to "normal" with your town after the flash flooding of last year?
Pretty much yes. Unfortunately, there's still a hell of a lot of properties that still haven't been repaired because they had bastards for insurance companies. Many are facing financial ruin because of it. I could take a walk around my block right now & come back with at least 20 photos of houses that are still in ruins. It's not fair.

Lovely! I enjoyed your pics! Hey, how are you doing with finding a pug?

I'm not. There just aren't any anywhere. Well there is that litter I posted about last week that I wont touch. I even went to the pound this morning to see if they had one for adoption. No such luck. I think right now, I've got a better chance of winning lotto than finding a Pug.

Beautiful pictures, Garth!
After you posted about that litter I looked on petfinder in my area for pugs and was heartbroken how many there were....and disgusted by how many puggles and other intentional pug mixes are up for adoption.
