Freckles aggravated his surgical incision by licking and he is now back on antibiotics and this neck brace to keep him from licking.
The boy is getting lots of attention and extra treats. We got this brace at the Vet's this morning. Last night I put a soft cone on him and, like it did before, it scared Duke and he went to hide in a closet. Duke is not scared of this brace however.

Duke and Freckles at their country home
Poor Freckles, he is such a handsome boy. I love his coloring. Get well soon. You can come out now, Duke.
I like the brace; so much better than the cone of despair.

Poor Freckles. Hope he feels better soon. I like that much better than the cone.
Poor Duke! The cone of shame must be awful! Dogs really hate it! Do you know how long Freckles will need to wear the brace?

Never saw a brace like that. I think it would be much better than a cone for most dogs. Healing thoughts for Freckles.
