Is anyone watching?
So happy for Jackie Evancho. She was a little wobbly Tuesday night; I think her breath control got a little away from her, and it caused her BIG MONEY NOTE at the end to not be as stable as I'd like. But she definitely deserved to go thru.
And YAY for Studio One. They were one WOW moment after another on Tues.
YAY as well for FIGHTING GRAVITY (the Virginia Tech Frat Boyz). They continue to amaze.
I was happy Jeremy Van Schoovernhavenschnozzengoggenheimer went thru. Just for sheer guts.
And POOR HASPOP!! And POOR FLYING TRAPEZE COUPLE!! And POOR MAESTRO BUI and his amazing piano skills!!! boo on the voters for not sending them thru!
Now as for Michael Grasso (magician). Here's my issue: MURRAY did basically the SAME TRICK during the last cycle: made a woman disappear (replacing her w/a TIGER!) and then having her pop out by the judges.
So Grasso's trick was a total copy, without the WOW of a tiger. And he goes thru!?!?!?!
Which is not to say that I didn't find Murray to be a little flat on Tues. The train was way cool. But very predictable and it took a little long to get to the payoff (and the Frank Sinatra MY WAY thing was a little cheesy).
I'm really disappointed at some of the first five. Anna and Patryck just creep me the hell out, him with his slicky hair and open-chested shirts. PLEASE!
And Christina & Ally are TERRIBLE singers.

Fighting Gravity HAS to win. They would be the best, most suitable act to watch in Vegas.
The young girl with the AMAZING voice should be a close second
Magicians can all go home as far as I am concerned - I find making things "disappear" SO boring and SO yesterday!!
Dance acts are great but headline show? I think not.
I'm sorry -- Anna and Patrick are very talented. But BOY they continue to make my skin crawl. I felt bad for Anna's slip but wasn't sorry to see them go.
Nor did I shed any tears over the exit of Christina and Ally.
Prince Poppycock is a walking Vegas show in and of himself. I love that he takes himself exactly 0 serious: How many performers would be brave enough to project a $3 bill behind their dancing/singing??? Hilariously campy.
But yes. Fighting Gravity for the win, please.
And Jackie Evancho for a lifetime on the concert stage, please. She is just so charming and unaffected. Adorable without being cloying -- a rarity w/child performers.

We stopped watching it early on, but I'm glad that Fighting Gravity is still in . . . they were my favorites. The format is weird this year, and it just seems to be so drawn out.
