Says my Anna this morning, stirring away, judiciously adding orange zest to the bubbling berries. =)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I love the memories of cooking Thanksgiving dinner with my mom, gram and SIL's growing up.
Do you cook yours in orange juice? I love fresh cranberries cooked in orange juice with a little sugar if I am making plain cranberry sauce.
I made mine yesterday to serve today I took fresh cranberries, pears and apple chunks cooked in apple cider with pecans and a little cinnamon and nutmeg added.
Also if you have never tried this it is the best cranberry bread it looks complicatedH but it is not.

I do! I use fresh squeezed oranges & a little zest as well. Thanks for the link, that looks wonderful! It doesn't sound complicated at all. I will try this with my leftover berries that I had frozen.

I hate people that can cook !
I just had to look up a recipe for chicken stock as I just made a coq au vin with the legs and wings and have frozen the breasts !
I could do with a little helper too.........even a big helper !
Doesn't it make a nice change to have real cooking smells wafting through the house !
Always save your chicken carcasses, Col. Freeze them until you have enough to make a stock. There is absolutely nothing like homemade stock to make a soup with, or to add to a recipe. =)
You need to come here & cook with us.
Happy TG!!
