    Default The Next Iron Chef?

Please tell me someone else out here in JL land watched this. Please!? I need to discuss the ingredients in the 2nd round with someone now that I've gotten over my shock!

Eel. Ok. I can handle that. Grasshoppers? No thank you, but I've heard of it. Jelly fish...sea slugs...stinky tofu...Unlaid Eggs???? Chicken feet??? Coxcombs???

Chicken feet and cockscombs were once very common ingredients. I've had both. One thing I won't try though is balut, no matter how many people tell me it's delicious. No way, no how.

I watched it. I really don't like when they use ingredients like that - not that I'm grossed out or anything. I just like to watch what they do with stuff I might actually make. I've learned a lot of technique from that show.

No F-ing way!! You have to draw a line somewhere, and cooked fetus is a good place to start.

I love that Amanda Freitag is competing. She's such a hard ass judge on Chopped and some other shows, but she competed in Iron Chef against Bobby Flay and she's so funny! She gets chatty when she's nervous. I'm rooting for her.

"Blurf" would be an understand on some of those ingredients from Round 2. Have heard of chicken feet & coxcombs, never heard of some & others I just don't want to know. *shudders*

Love Amanda Freitag... I really want her to win. Haven't decided on alternate if she gets eliminated.

    My pretty girl, Lexi!

Chicken feet are good to use in broth as a source of gelatin. I don't think I'd actually like to eat them, though. Ew. I hope I can catch a rerun. When is its regular time?
