Large people at work

I work in an old heritage mansion that was converted to offices. Very cool building, but I'm on the 3rd floor so I am very aware of the noise and vibrations I make when running up and down the stairs! Did I mention the copier is on the 1st level?

I am sick of politically correct. Got chastised last year when I commented we needed someone really short for a project (was going to have to crawl into a really small space). I was informed that the proper term was ,'Vertically challenged'. Give me a break! I wasn't being derogatory. Everyone in the room understood what 'short' meant. Several had to think a while to figure out what 'vertically challenged' implied.

Are you serious!! Inferring that being short is being challenged is WAY more insulting then just saying SHORT in my opinion! Maybe its the tall people who are vertically challenged? Vertical is up and down, no? Its not short or tall.

Ummmm....it was a joke? I use the "vertically challenged" joke all the time since there is one set of drawers in all our filing cabinets here that I can't reach. They bought me a step stool
