AAC venue
some how both Sally and Brody qualified for agility Nationals this year ... that was exciting enough but then a whole whack of people I trust told me to go - including my hubby who offered to stay here and take care of 4 parrots, 1 guinea pig, 12 rabbits and 24 chickens for me - oh +2 dogs ...
the way our nationals run is you run 3 runs each day - 1 gamblers, jumpers and standard round each day
Gamblers is NOT my thing ... though Sally is quite good at it ... it's a points game where you add your score to your final points
There is a potential to run 4 clean runs per dog ...Brody ran 3 clean runs - woooo hoooo - he's now the number 15 dog in Canada for his height and class (his standard was RIDICULOUS - he was hot, and stopped DEAD part way into the course while he considered if he should run again or not- quite funny - they do always keep us real eh?)
Sally ran one clean run - she was 9 seconds slower than the first place dog in the uber competitive 22 inch regular class ... that meant she was 28! (in other divisions 9 seconds could be the difference in the top three placements!) She made 1 error in 2 of her other classes and 2 errors in her last class (as usual I can take a LOT of the responsibility for not being clear enough or not being in the right place!)
it was a ton of fun and quite inspirational ... exciting to have Nationals ribbons too(Brody earned a 6th and a 9th in 2 of the classes)
what good good dogs I get to play with

Yes, I am Ember's breeder, she was out this way for a visit/hunt test a few weekends ago and did a fabulous job!
Any chance you'll consider coming to nationals next year in Nanaimo? I'm hoping to go and it would be fun to meet in person![]()

I would love to plan a family holiday around the nationals (i'm way overdue for a visit to the folks in Calgary)... something to think on over the fall.
What's the site like? Used to live in Nanaimo briefly, it's such a beautiful area.
