Fat Foo (Fuji, lol-- she's looking rather good now that she's shed her extra couple apple pounds) finished her NAJ title today with a nice run other than being a terd on the weaves (once again, they were offside on both of our runs) -- nailed them the 3rd attempt. Whew....Fuji is now Intl CH WindyCanyon's Sweetest Fuji CDX RN JH NA NAJ CC. She debuted in Open Std and nailed everything I was worried about-- teh offside 12 weaves (first attempt) and the teeter. Go figure she instead knocked the very first bar and then didn't want to wrap from the dogwalk into the red tunnel, though she finally did.
Her younger half sis Mata and I had our first clean run in Excellent Std today too! Woohoo! Mata hasn't run a trial since last year so I was really happy w/ that! We goobered our Exc JWW run however... we were in very good company. Even MACH2 Strider's owner got lost on it, so you know it was wicked.
It was a huge trial today-- 660 runs--- hosted by my Lab club, the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association (PSLRA). 600 runs tomorrow. Should turn a nice profit at least! Anne

isn't it funny when they get the tough stuff and leave you puzzling over something simple?

Thanks all! We had another decent day-- Another clean run for Mata in Exc Std on another challenging course.![]()
The JWW course was a little better today but still twisty. Both girls (Fuji moved up to Open which was v similar to Exc other than an end sequence) knocked bars there but at least their times were quite good. Fuji had 2 refusals on Open Std but I think the handler should take the lashes on that one... I rushed from Exc JWW w/ Mata, handed her off so I could get a course walk in at Open, grabbed Fuji quickly and was up as the 4th dog in the ring. I should have moved Fuji down as far as I could have to give me a little more breathing room (or tried to move Mata up in JWW). Ah well. Live and learn.
Also, Fuji's brother Strider earned another double Q toward MACH3 today.
I paged thru yesterday's JWW results-- of ~65 20" dogs, not terribly many Q'd (maybe 10 total)... and there were several MACH dogs running.
