I came home from work on Monday an emotional wreck. I had taken Miles in for a bandage change that morning and, I guess, being at the vet's office brought back the reality that Miles could have a malignancy. I came home to a discarded cone and a pile of shredded gauze and bandaging.Already an emotional wreck, I about lost it. He was lurking at the top of the stairs and I went up to check and it didn't look too bad but he did remove most of the stitches. Then I checked the messages. Buried behind a bunch of political messages was a message from the vet saying that the tests had come back and it was a cyst and that he had gotten all of it and it should not recur. The BEST POSSIBLE NEWS!!! After falling apart again and hugging my dog, I was mad at him for doing what he did.
Back to the vet yesterday and he now has an even bigger bandage and I am working from home so I can keep an eye on him. The bugger!
As long as it heals okay, he should be ready to rock and roll again in a few weeks! YIPEE!!
Betsy, he has a clear cone on his head. I insisted on that so he can see. My friend lent me a soft cone, but it isn't quite long enough. He can get to his paw with it. He's getting used to it, but I have to keep an eye on him.
I missed all you guys at Youngstown. I will being at CABTC this weekend too. Good luck to you guys!
