I had the 2 "adolescents" entered in both Rally and Obed at our Lab specialty in W. WA on Sat, and obed only on Sunday.
Envy, 20 mos, earned her 1st leg in Open A Obed w/ a 187 and 3rd place on Sat. First place in that class went to her 3 yo "aunt" Rion, who I also bred (Sonya's littermate)-- who got a 193. That was extra neat since Rion is also doing MH (has 2 passes at least), agility and has her TD.
Kiku, 15 mos (the one I was worried about coming into season but didn't yet thankfully since it would have cost me $84!) won her debut in Nov B obed w/ a 193!
Envy won her Rally Advanced B class w/ a 97... that was for her RA title.
And Kiku won her Rally Nov B class also w/ a 97 for a first place and for her RN title!
We came home w/ a pile of rosettes and prizes....
On Sunday, I messed up Envy in Open on her drop on recall (bad handler-- my intonation was way off), and Kiku anticipated on her Nov recall (left after the judge said "Call your dog.." I had barely gotten the KI--- out of my mouth and she was on her way.) LOL. I half expected that she'd do that saturday, but she was fine. Other than that, both girls had really nice runs going so I can't be too disappointed. AND, I won some things in the Rescue Raffle, so not all was lost for Sunday!!!!
We won't have any more obed trials til early Oct probably but next weekend both girls start running JH tests. We have 3 that I think I can make before the end of the year, so we'll see how long Kiku can stay hormone-free! And wouldn't you know it, they just posted the running order and Kiku was drawn at #1..... not happening though. They asked ME to be the marshal. LOL. I'm predicting I'll be too busy as marshal even if there aren't any MH or pro folks beating down the holding blinds.

LOL, I tried, but I think part of my mistake was telling her to "Wait". I should have told HER to Stay because Wait just doesn't seem to mean that much to her right now. And this judge had given a verbal, and she knew what she was supposed to do next !
The 2 hunt test judges present (one was stewarding, the other exhibiting) both came up to me ringside separately and said (basically) "I dunno, tie ALWAYS goes to the dog when I"m judging". I told them to hold onto that thought....![]()
Congratulations!
