Okay, this is just a silly thing. My dog has been on r&r for a few weeks for a strained shoulder (we think). He came up with a limp a few weeks ago. Vet couldn't find a problem so we put him on r&R. Limp disappeared and I am happy thinking this week, we return to agility classes. Then Saturday, he comes up with this swollen toe. What the heck? How can a dog hurt himself when he's been on leash walking for 2 weeks? Monday it didn't look much better so I called the vet and took him in on Tuesday. By Tuesday it looked better but I figured 30 bucks for peace of mind was worth it so I took him anyway. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his toe. Vet thinks it could've been anything a bug bite maybe. There was clearly no pain in that toe and the vet found no issue. So we got the the green light to go back to class.
Well, we came home and that dog followed me around for 3 hours until it was time to go to class. Do you think he heard he got the green light? We went to class, he worked like a champ and he smiled the whole time. Then when we got home, he ran to find "Daddy", couldn't find him so he proceeded to run PUPPY RIPS through the whole house. He's 4 1/2, it has been quite awhile since I've seen puppy rips from him. I guess he's glad to be back to work! He's certainly feeling good!

Good for you! I had to put Mata on R&R (well.... I'm trying!) for a sore toe too. She probably sprained it while climbing a huge brush pile recently after some quail. Thought it was improving, but then the other night she came up gimping badly again on it... flushing more quail out of a tree in my yard. Grrrr........
So trying to make the best of it. Started her on scent article training to help occupy her mind a bit. We'll see if it works.
Awww, glad to hear she is getting back to normal! Sometimes I wonder how they hurt themselves!
