Hey Betsy! I just got wind of a judge's seminar at CABTC this Saturday after which judges will be available to measure dogs. Around 5:00 pm (ish). Do you know anything about that? I think I will try to go.

I never thought of that...I am puppy sitting Wendy's Lab puppy while she is there. Wendy is a total Lab person, There isn't anything she doesn't seem to know about labs. She runs and judges field trials and hunt tests, Her dogs typically get 197 + scores in Obedience, Her dogs are very very fast in agility, She has won money at dock diving, etc.. lol All her dogs have MH's and UD's and MX/MXJ's etc.. She is a wealth of information with 30 years of experience with a bunch of different labs.
Light, "weedy" individuals are definitely incorrect; equally objectionable are cloddy lumbering specimens. Labrador Retrievers shall be shown in working condition well-muscled and without excess fat. Females should weigh between 55 and 70lbs and Males between 65 and 80lbs. Height females 21.5 to 23.5 inches males 22.5 to 24.5 inches at the withers.

Ann - So sorry I didn't answer you sooner. We were in canton for an OB trial. I couldn't have told you much because I didn't know about the measuring at the seminar. Hope you were able to get there and get Miles measured for good. Betsy

That's okay, Betsy. I did get there and got Miles measured for good! He was measured at 21 3/4 by two separate reps! I was walking on air!
I hope your OB trial went well.
