I finally got the weave polls out of the garage after two months.
Right before the snow storms i started working weaves again by throwing a treat, food wasn't cutting it. Food is good for detail and to get her to learn something. But speed works best with toy drive. So i worked on that during these past two months and got her driving through them. Sometimes i'll take out wings that i use for her bumpers, show her that, and shes off like a rocket.
We'll hopefully get out to trials this Spring/Summer.
how the heck did you teach her to do that?
we started with two poles.. then 4.. then six... we still need to add six more.
Very nice! But I'd get that other dog out of there....poor Apple doesn't always get her reward![]()
Sweet! Looks like you've got nice speed and drive.
Very nice! To be outside in a T-shirt. Sigh!

The beauty of 2x2 trainingWell done! Apple is a beauty!
When I first started 2X2 training, the first few stages, I couldn't imagine how what I was doing was ever going to resemble weaves. My dog was weaving 12 within a month! We worked on it during the winter break. When we came back to class in January, our instructor says "This session we are focusing on weave training". It was fun watching everyones surprise as Miles ran over, made the entry and weaved the full 6 straight poles. I think because of the ball I used for the reward line, he LOVES weaves!
