I am trying to find photos to submit with Rocky's application for a PEN (performance Event Number).
The frontal, can he be sitting? or do they want a standing frontal photo?
How recent is recent? Would a photo from 2008 be too old? Am I better to just take some photos tonight?
Is this the type of "side shot" they want?
would this work for front shot?
Thanks! I have a tight turn around to get him registered so I can register for an event by march! so I want to get it right the first time

If this is anything like the ILP for the AKC, you may want to take new pictures.
The side shot is OK, but you will want him standing on a level surface.
Front shot he needs to be standing.
Both pictures need to be taken at dog-level rather than looking down at him.
That's what I remember from the AKC version anyway. Good luck!
I agree Tanya, they basically want a "stacked" shot from the side and front should be standing ( and closer, without a lot of "distractions" in the pic - monochromatic background if possible, same for side shot).

crap, I am having a hard time with teh stacked photo. I can get him standing still but he will only look at me (and I can't get anyone to help me this week) rather than straight ahead. Sigh. I will keep trying. maybe some PB will help...
Thanks for the info![]()
ok how about these? He really has a high tuck, think they may not accept him? (had to throw treats and a ball to get him looking, thank god his stand/stay has been practiced alot!)
not the prettiest setting but not much I can do as it gets dark quickly (and it is pretty sandy/mucky/snowy out there anyway!)
I think those pictures will probably be OK. Ideally his rear end would be extended more and not so much under him, but for the purposes of getting a number for competition, no one is going to judge him on posing skills :P
Good luck!
you are right about the hind legs. now that I am getting the hang of this... these better?

you need a light colour behind him, he's not visible...
is the red better or no? I could just not use anything the red is about as good as I have here, exept maybe a light blue fleece blanket...
I don't have much to work with and I need to get this done ASAP unfortunately, but at the same time I don't want to submit photos that will be rejected as that means I definately won't get it in time
