Licking and scratching?

So Caseygirl is doing a lot of licking on her legs and paws and scratching her face today. Is this just detoxing?

Could be. I wouldn't worry at this point. It could possibly be a sensitivity to chicken but true food allergies are rare.

Thanks for the feedback FallRiver........it is not like Casey has never been exposed to chicken. That was one of the main protein sources in her kibble. So I will just keep going and see what happens.

Dont' know if you have added beef yet but that is a common source of sensitivities.

Good point about the beef and I am not giving her beef in the raw feeding yet but while she was still on kibble I gave her a beef marrow bone once a week for chewing. Right now I cannot really say if it bothered her or not. I will say that I have not seen all that licking and scratching in the last day and a half. Yea! She is a very efficient eater of raw as well! :educated:
