I put a couple of frozen 1 pound chunks of hamburger out on the counter to thaw for a few hours yesterday. I forgot about it and when I found it, it was room temp and brown...probably left out for a total of 16 hours. Would you think it would be ok to feed it? Could a dogs stomach handle it?
Thanks![]()
when in doubt, throw it out!

Yes your dog's stomach can handle it but I don't think your nose can. Your house isn't the wide open outdoors. Your lab will be perfectly fine but the gas he'll generate will put you and your family or your dog out of the house for the next 24 hours!
LOL well that's enough for me right there!Originally Posted by jlab
Thanks for the advice everyone...I'll chuck it.
I would pitch, too. That long is a bit too long for me. As all ready stated your dog would probably be ok, but I just don't want to take the chance. Given the opportunity they will eat dead, flat decayed road kill without any ill effects.
