Any good books or books/sites geared toward lab diets or recipes?
Hi there!
My "starting out" book was Kymythy Schultze's "Natural Nutrition for dogs and cats". It was a really great book that laid everything out in a recipe style, so it made switching over from kibble VERY easy, as I was really worried about it initially. I didn't stay with that formula for very long though, once I gained confidence I changed it up a bit.
Also, if you're looking for homecooked, this is a good site: www.balanceit.com
For good web reading (mostly on raw diets):

Other books:
Whole Health for Happy Dogs: A Natural Health Handbook for Dogs and Their Owners, by Jill Elliot, Kim Blommer, and Nick Ridley
Raw Dog Food: Make it Easy for You and Your Dog, by Carina Beth Macdonald
Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones, by Tom Londsdale
Good luck!

Hi there, I dont have a lab (anymore) as you can tell by my siggy, but I can recommend some good websites (since Baloo did the honors and threw out the good books). You dont really need a "lab specific" book/site, although "lab specific natural diet sites" (like this part of JL are nice!)
Some Forums:

(This one is by our very own "Fallriver" she has GORGEOUS labbys!) http://www.fallriverlabs.com/Feeding...r%20Puppy.html
I hope this helps some! Congrats on making the leap to more natural foods for you puppers! (your dog is gorgeous btw!)
