Tripe: How much do they eat in a week

I am ordering tripe and wondering how much you guys feed in a week, quantity and number of times per week.

When I have tripe I feed it about 4 nights per week. I feed about a cup so it is an entire dinner. Dana (Fallriver) feeds a lot of tripe :vomit: so she will tell you.

It would probably depend on how coarsely ground it was. Larger chunks would make it so that 1 cup wasn't so dense and therefore, didn't weigh as much. 1 lb (16 oz) wouldn't be a lot for my raw-fed boy since he gets 2-3 # of raw per day (less when we're not active, more when we're really active) and I believe tripe is one of those things you can feed as a "whole meal" (no need to add RMBs, etc.).

I spoke to the supplier and he recommended feeding it as a whole meal.... so chocolata you are right on. Just sounded like a lot to me....

I'd be interested to know this as well. I feed it three times a week, 1/4 lb split between the two of them, proportionally. I don't factor it into their daily ratios.

You know by now I am not a weight and measure person. I will do all of the above. I suppose tripe makes up about 1/5 of their diet.

Nice follow-up here; I gave Tiegan a 1.25 lb Blue Fish.... she ate the entire thing.... but I had to give it to her in thirds... but she did it.
And last week she ate her first whole prey rabbit.
