he just threw up some chicken, looked mostly still intact, and smelled horrible.
could it be bad chicken? improper chewing? blockage? or did he get it out of his system this time?

I dont think anyone wants to answer you because your going to snub your nose at the advice and or fly off the handle for the 100,000,000,000th time.Originally Posted by WillV341

Gee Will maybe its time for a vet visit ::

I agree with the vet visit. Diarrhea and vomiting are both indications of a blockage. Especially when they happen together. :-\

Thanks Justine! He would've gone to the vet immediately if it didn't happen at 2am. Thanks for the reply though, tons of help.
Thank YOU Baloo, for a helpful answer. I was thinking the same thing but it was just recently brought to my attention (this morning) that my freezer was at 45* the other day!!! (WTF)
He only threw up what he had eaten yesterday and the night before and then all of a sudden BOOM, no more diarrhea and no more vomiting. He had some kibble for breakfast (Cause now I need to go shopping to replace all the food I had JUST bought for him...)
Thanks for the help, he will be seeing a vet if his condition doesn't improve, but for going almost
12 hours without any symptoms, he's definitely doing better.

He wouldve gone to the vet immediately except it happened at 2am, yet when morning dawned you still didnt go to the vet and came here instead. LOLOriginally Posted by WillV341
And your welcome. You always get tons of help but still are a consistant jackass that does what he wants regardless of the advice given after YOU ASK FOR IT. And again you didnt fail.
Oh well. Least you didnt tell anyone to go yank their tampon out this time right?
So Oscars symptoms have gone away for the most part, he just pooped for the first time today and its getting its consistency back.
Another attempt at ruining my thread averted.
Why are you so angry Justine? If you would give some helpful advice you wouldnt have gotten my "jackass" remark. I take advice, heed it, and make my own decision. I never realized there was a law stating that you must follow advice given to you, I must have missed the memo...

Will,
I do not have a lot of time right now to read as much as I would like, so I may have missed the connection between this thread and Kate's.
How is Oscar? If it is the same episode did you hold off feeding him like Dana recommended and he is recoverying now, or is this a different incident? Sorry if I missed something...

It was the same incident, thats how it ties. My thinking was that I had just replied in her thread, but now that I needed to make an update maybe you guys wouldnt check in on it. I made the update its own thread as to not hijack HER thread as well. I listened to Dana, held off dinner for that night after he threw up. He was fine until about 2am when he threw up again. After that he didnt eat until lunch-time the next day and he's been perfect. Solid poops, hasn't thrown up, got all his energy back. I'm positive that he threw up whatever was bothering him and I DO feel bad for not taking him to the emergency vet, but if the problem had continued he most certainly would've gone.
The only problem is that he threw up some chicken and now my GF is over the raw... time to start kissing some butt![]()
