Well, it worked out--got a 40 pound case of chicken backs for $7.60! Bot about 37 meals for him out of that case! Not a bad buy! She went down to the plant and picked the chicken up and all I had to do was drive through fog to go to her place, about a half an hour away to pick it up. Just got it bagged and in the freezer!

Wow....that is amazing! Great buy! I am jealous.
Wow, what a great deal! Was it frozen--did you have to chop it up to bag it? I'm jealous, too!
No, they were fresh! So, I bagged them into bags for about four or five days of meals and froze them. Wow! That was worth the extra work!

Congrats! That works out to about 5 cent a pound. Where did you land this deal?

We live near one of the big chicken farms and processing plants. She drove down to the plant and picked stuff up.

Wow - I buy my chicken back at a poultry farm and when I get 40 lbs, I pay about $0.60/lb and when I buy less than is is about $0.80/lb. So, that was a great buy.
