I've read some of Volhard's stuff, and I don't like the heavy reliance on grains/carbs, especially for drop-eared breeds that can have yeast issues at the best of times.

If you're looking for a mix that is just add meat and serve, basically, I'd use this stuff:

I read the Urban wolf site. Do they really mean to add 3/4 to 1 CUP oil to the mixture?

I didn't really read farther than the "no grains" part, and have heard good things from people who feed it. They sell urban wolf at my little raw feeding store.

That does seem excessive, especially since they want you to add fish oil capsules on top of that. Eeek!
