Good series. I just finished book 3 which I forgot was even coming out, but a random stop at Chapter's turned it up.

The series follows Nevare Burvelle and his quest to become the soldier his father always wanted him to be, but fate throws him a magical curveball along the way and he becomes something he both hates but loves at times, and follows his struggles to overcome many obstacles.

If you like fantasy, this was a good read.
