I enjoy twisty English style mysteries (Minette Walters, Stephen Booth) as well as the forensics of Kathryn Fox and Kathy Reichs and dog-related mysteries (Conant, Berenson, Ball) and women PIs (Paretsky, Grafton)
any suggestions for new authors?
Iris Johansen. Look for her Eve Duncan series. They have SAR dogs in them and it's best if you can start from the first one.
Patricia Cornwall's early books are VERY good, but she lost it somewhere after she wrote about Jack the Ripper.
do you have the title of the first Eve Duncan? Haven't had a chance to check Amazon...
Yeah, I liked the early scarpetta novels and then she got whackey... it's too bad
I think it was Face of Deception. I know one of them where the SAR dogs show up was called The Search.
