IMO, Michelle Williams does a superb job of portraying Monroe's beauty, vulnerabilities, fears, talents, mannerisms--her essence. (Many critics say she'll get an Oscar nomination for this role.) This narrates one week in filming the actual 1957 movie, "The Prince & the Showgirl," in which Olivier, a classically trained actor continually clashed with Monroe who aspired to be a great actress but was beset by a number of problems. This version shows Clark being the major factor in comforting Marilyn into finishing the movie. Whatever the actual truth, it's an interesting story.
My rating: 10 of 10.
