I know, I know, I'm a dollar short and a day late, but just got it from Netflix and watched it last night. Adorable. The whole first segment with the young couple following their lives from meeting to old age...so sweet. A whole movie in itself.
If you go with the flow (balloons carrying a house across continents???) it is a really sweet movie with great characters. I loved Kevin, the giant cross between Toucan Sam and Road Runner, and of course Dug, the dog whose really smart master made him a collar so he can talk "Squirrel!". And the crotchety old man who just wants to escape from the world, but is sucked back in by a plucky, if slightly annoying, boyscout was so well done. He touched my heart from the protectiveness of his belongings to his impatience with boyscout to his awe at meeting his childhood hero to his indecision about letting go of the past. Loved him. One of the best characters Pixar has created to date.
Now, if only I can teach my dogs to serve me champagne and cook me dinner I'll be all set.

I agree. I saw that movie a while ago, and I still giggle over the dogs! I think that I'll buy it for Christmas, spoil myself in laughs.
I want to see it!!
One of *the* best movies of 2009.
