Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kristin Wiig, Jason Bateman.

I usually love the Pegg/Frost collaborations (Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz), but this one fell a little flat. Which is doubly disappointing since I love the subject matter. Pegg and Frost are two sci fi geeks who come to America to go the California Comic-Con and then tour the alien tourist traps in an RV. They end up rescuing Paul, your stereotypical bug-eyed grey alien, who is trying to escape the government and get back home. Paul is voiced by Seth Rogan who plays Paul as your standard slacker dude with the sense of humor of an 8th grade boy. Hilarity ensues....or not really.

Until they pick up Kristen Wiig who plays an uber-christian anti-Darwin bible thumping owner of the RV Camper parking site. She eats up the screen and as her world is turned upside down by the revelation of life on other planets...she is freakin' hilarious!

Some funny one-liners thrown in for all genres...Star Trek, Star Wars, ET, Close Encounters...all the big ones take a hit. But unless you are a huge fan of the stars in this one...

I'd say skip it and watch "Fanboys" instead.
