I spend at least two hours in the car every day, so I've been getting audiobooks from the library to pass the time. I figure there are more books than I'll ever have time to actually read so it has a couple benefits.
There wasn't much at the library last time I went in so I ended up with Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult. Ack - the narrator is terrible! I don't know if I'll be able to get through it. I'm trying to hold out because I know different narrators do different sections, so I just have to get through her part. I'm beginning to think I actually may have read this one too - it sounds vaguely familiar.
Do any of you do audio books? Any recommendations?

Yep, they keep me going at work. I get some of them for free through my library and others I download from Audible.com on a $14.95/mo. membership. They also have sales and free ones for members occasionally.
The Help is AWESOME on audio.
I'm currently listening to The Search on audio.
I liked Kate Morton's Forgotten Garden, too.
a funny one was Ladies of the Lake by Haywood Smith; the lady who writes the Red Hat Society books.
i always wanted to try one, but i'm afraid my mind will wander and i'll never hear a word they're saying.. i swear to god, technology has given me ADD..
kelli, tucker and koda
I also download from Audible.com Some of my favorites
The Glass Castle Jeanette Wells
The Hour I First Beleived Wally Lamb
The Kite Runner Khaled Hosseini
I'm listening to Just After Sunset right now. Steven King short stories. I figure since my commute is all in the daylight right now, it's safe. =) Excellent readers. Mare Winningham read the second story and it was fantastic. I don't know that I would have enjoyed it as much just reading it myself as I did hearing it.
