Elizabeth George is back! What Came Before He Shot Her was a dud and Careless in Red was meh, but this book is a good read.
I'm just finishing up this book. It's on the Bestseller Express from the library which means it's only a one week loan with bigger fines if it's late. Good thing DH had the week off.
This book is another installment of the Inspector Lynley/Barbara Havers mysteries. It's good and very readable. It's not a fast read. But I found myself thoroughly engrossed in their world while trying to figure out whodunnit.
What I really like about the series is there is no romantic involvement between Havers and Lynley. They work really, really well together and genuinely care for each other, but there is no longing on either side. (Unlike what the TV series tends to infer.)
