"The Story of Edgar Sawtelle"

Reading now. Have recommended to dweck.
Anyone else read it? Reading it? Know of it?

It's long, the story is compelling, but the author's beautiful wordsmithing gets a tiny bit bogged down with his annoying overuse of dog training terminology. To my reading perspective, it just doesn't fit the time period of the story. No detraction, really, just a little anachronistic and... annoying. Like a fly buzzing around your head while you're trying to get into the book.

I read this book quite awhile ago.... I think when it was first released. It took me a bit to get into it, but by the end I could not put it down.
I might have to find it and reread it, now that you mention it!

Same as Cheley ... took me a while to get into it, but then I couldn't put it down! I thought it was quite a good book.

This is one of the very few books that I would re-read. It did take a little bit at first, but it was hard to put down once I got into it.
