Any Michigan Labadowners?

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum section for a general "Who is from Michigan?" question!

Although, I'd LOVE to host a get-together! We're living on the lake (Huron) and the Labs absolutely love it, so it'd be awesome to have more of them over to play!

I'm currently in Cheboygan (near the Mackinaw Bridge to the U.P) having moved here from Indiana. I'm also a bit intimidated by the weather, but Chloe and Cole are not...they're loving the extra snow!

I'm from down state, Rochester Hills, to be exact. We're about 30 minutes north on I-75 from Detroit.

I grew up on Burt Lake.. my aunt has a cottage there and we used to go up there at least a few times a summer and winter. I don't think I've ever been to Cheboygan, but I'm pretty familiar with Indian River, Alanson, Harbor Springs and Petoskey

Yay for all of us Michiganders! ;D I'm sure you have WAY more snow than we do!

There are a ton of Michigan people here actually. It'd probably be easier to gather in Lansing. We used to get together at a dog park in Wixom...but haven't done it in a year. It's time to do it again me thinks....once the weather gets better that is.

I know this is an older thread, but there is a nice dog park on Hawk Island State Park in Lansing. http://www.lansingdogparks.com/ There's a path going around a pond with a few beachy areas for easy access to the water. Most people are fairly good, depending on when you go. I usually try to avoid it on the weekends because it's super packed, but off peak times are good.

There is a BIG dog park, with dog beach, (aka [i]LAB LAKE[i]) in Lake Orion. It's a County Park, Orion Oaks. It's a good time...
