Dates haven't been posted on DD website yet, but they are on Facebok- (Dock Dogs Rockland) Dates are June 11, 12, 13.

Snicks and I are new members of the Seacoast Dock Dogs club! We'll be going to our first practice in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to this summer!!!

Cool! We belong to the Hudson Valley Dock Dogs group in NY. It's a 3 hour drive for us- I believe the Seacost group is about a 2.5 hour drive, but we were already members of HVDD when Seacost formed.
I had the pleasure of meeting them last September in Rochester, NH. Great group of folks!
Our first dock practice is this weekend... Looking forward to it! (if only the snow will go away-- I can't believe it's April 28 and it's SNOWING!!!?)

I was at the Rochester event too - without Snicks. She can be a little crazy and I wanted to check it out first!

And I agree with you about the snow. I drove to work in it this morning. WTH???

If it doesn't work, just go to www.leogarza.com, then click events, and dock dogs.... He has folders separted by dogs names... This guy sat in the pouring rain and hot sun on the last day and took picture after picture after picture.

You will see that Simon is still a beginner, but we're working on it. He will BOLT to the end of the dock. Stop Dead, and.... Jump. Near the end of the event, he hesitated less...

Yes - I was there on the last day. Wow - those pics are fantastic. He is SO handsome! We'll have to keep each other informed of which events we are at this summer. Maybe our paths will cross!

We were in Rochester and in Scarborough last year too! Very excited about Rockland. I've heard from one of the organizers there that yes, this is definitely a GO but haven't yet seen anything on the DD calendar. I've also heard they're coming back to Kennel Shop in Scarborough. Anyone have more info on either?

ROCKLAND is officially on the Dockdogs.com calendar! WOO HOO!!

I also heard (through our club) that The Kennel Club is looking at the middle of July- and that they are DEFINITELY planning to hold their event. That was SO much fun last year! Booking our rooms now!

Anyone else in the Rockland area? I'm going to bring Storm, even though he'll still be too young to jump- maybe I can get a little bit of dock time with him to practice!

Just wanted to mention that I don't think they will let you have dock time for your younger dog, due to their insurance. I might be wrong but we tried that last year in NH with our young dog. I was hoping to try a jump to see if he'd do it (he was old enough but hadn't jumped before) and just wanted to try a "test run" but they said no.
