Default Any good books to help w/issues of adopting a Lab?

My wife and I are interested in adopting from a Lab Rescue Shelter. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good books that address issues often associated with dogs from a shelter?

    Thanks in advance.

I have read the "Second-Hand Dog: How to Turn Yours into a First-Rate Pet " that LabDad mentioned. Good luck with your search for a rescue pup. Most rescue's do address any behavioral problems before adopting out. Going through a breed specific rescue is a little better as most keep dogs in foster care and they recieve medical care, training and TLC (unlike most shelter dogs).

If you are in the Northeast I work for an All Retriever Rescue (www.occretrieverrescue.com). I know some other Lab rescues in the area and on the east coast...so when youare ready to start looking....I can email you links. Best wishes!
