She isn't into rescue yet (I have to consider fostering her or not) but she is at a shelter. One year old (spayed) female chocolate lab. Apparently untrained but a good girl.
If anyone in eastern ontario is interested (or wouldn't mind fostering to try it out) let me knowIf you are interested but want to know more first also let me know (we can go see her/take photos and all that)

Anywhere near Ottawa? My brother's on the list for seeing eye dog rejects-the ones who don't make the grade as seeing eye dogs, but need a home. He might be interested.....
She is in Almonte, not far from Ottawa.

Sams Mom- this would be a totally different experience though, Guide Dogs are highly trained, this girl might be super great but is at the moment completely untrained!

Yeah. I thought of that after, probably not a good fit then. They have 2 kids 4 and 6, and my brother who trained their first dog is away a lot. He was in grad school with Molly and took her everywhere with him. Now he's working so much he just doesn't really have the time. They had to put Molly down last summer at 16.
OOPS, put this in the wrong thread, sorry. The sentiment is genuine though despite this being an old thread and likely resolved by now.
I have been considering fostering a lab. I am in Ontario but further west, NE of Toronto. Don't mind a bit of a drive. Whats possible?
