    Default CountryPet Food

I was just at a new Whole Foods Market in Pasadena & saw CountryPet meats in their frozen section. I know absolutely nothing about this kind of thing & am hoping that you all could enlighten me. I believe that Jed's getting good dry food, but the thought has occurred that it might be good to supplement with some good meat every now & then.

BTW, they also sold packaged (from their butcher) marrow bones. Not going to go there, though, as he would insist on eating them inside & I'm NOT willing to let that happen!

    Thanks for the opinions!

Hmmm....I'm curious to. We go to Whole Foods at least once a week, and I've never seen it at ours. I'll have to look next time (we were there just yesterday, so it will be a few days). Does yours have other pet stuff? I wonder if it is a regional thing, because I never noticed anything pet related. Of course, I haven't looked, either, so I will next time!

Frankly, I don't know if it has other pet stuff. I don't buy my dog food from them regularly, but if memory serves me I think they might carry the Newman's Own. This new store is pretty incredible. Two stories (!), with lots of little "neighborhoods" of food. It's in an area of Pasadena that's becoming quite urbanized (lofts & trendy condos), so I'm sure it'll fit right in. Too bad it's 15 mi. away -- or maybe it's a good thing!

Anyway, I'd sure like to hear from some of you about what you think of this food. Thanks for the imput!

The food is great! I feed it to my dogs, however I must say the excitment over eating is often more than I would like at 5:30 in the morning!!! I definately think it is healthier than dry food using basic logic....fresh meat, frozen because no preservatives used..vs dried out fortified cardboard and corn with animal meals.....anyway some dry foods are ok and many dogs do well on dry food but if you want to see your dogs do flips for food I would suggest this food. Oh...it is safe to mix with dry as well...ok and one more thing it is not messy yucky stuff and I keep it next to my organic veggies(I eat veggies, my dogs eat MEAT!)
