Question about purple ear stuff

I think I need some of this for Maddie's right ear - the ointment from the vets just isn't working. I looked at Walgreen's online for the ingredients and found 'Boric Acid Roach Powder' - that's not what I use is it?

You need 16 oz bottle of alcohol or witch hazel, 4 tablespoons of boric acid powder, and 16 drops of 1% gentian violet solution. Or @ least that what the formula on the woodhaven labs site recommends. If you check it out... it also gives you directions for the number of times per day etc.

The Boric Acid powder is in the First Aid section of most stores/pharmacies
