I didn't get the same term from my vet but he did say her stomach was really upset and I agree garbage gut pretty much hits the nail on the head. I AM SO THANKFUL it wasn't an obstruction. He sent her home with two meds to continue to coat her stomach and some wet, canned food for her digestive track to mix with her regular food. I've read the canned food is a waste of money but he gave me 5 cans for $4.80 so I didn't fight it. I'm just elated my girl is home with me now. We're both on the road to recovery since I had wisdom teeth pulled today and went directly to the vet to pick her up. We have tomorrow to continue to recover.

Zoe - I didn't even think about scraping out the marrow. I'll keep it in mind if I ever feel brave enough to try it again. It could have possibly been what did this to her. I think for now we'll stick with the Kongs and I"ll brush her teeth to keep them clean.

Thank you for all your replies and well wishes. It meant a lot in a time when I really needed the support. Now I'm off to load up on MY meds since the pain is setting in...OUCH!

So glad everything is fine. Cinder had an obstruction once and as soon as I read your post I was very worried for you. Cinder also got very sick another time because she ate all of the wood out of our chiminea in the yard. They just helped clear her out and she was fine (after her hospital stay). Maybe your baby got into something that you don't know about. As you can tell Cinder does this all the time! Good luck !
