Tank slipped and fell

I was playing fetch with him outside and I threw the ball and Tank went running after it and fell and slid on his bad hip It happened about 2 days ago and he is still a little sore. He has a limp to him anyway so I dont know if it is from slipping or from just having a bad hip. His other hip is starting to go to so I am having to be more careful. I walked him to my uncles yesterday to get my cousin and by the time we got there I could tell his leg was hurting him by the way he was walking(leaning against me and it was only a 10 minute walk and we stayed at my uncles for 30 minutes) he wasn't whimpering or anything though. Should I just keep him on "bed rest" for a few more days? If it gets worse I will force my mom to take him to the vet. He is only 7 and already has 1 bad hip with the other going. The vet always checks that leg when he goes in(even if it is just for shots) he says there is a very good chance his legs will be getting a lot worse in the next year or two. Tank is still crazy(sometimes i think he has adhd) and it is hard to keep him calm at times.

Aww, poor Tank! I would keep him on "bed rest" for a good week or so. Leashed only walks & nothing too long/far, no fetch, etc. From all I've read here about leg/hip problems, you certainly wouldn't want to aggravate it. I hope he feels better soon!

Good thoughts for him. If he doesn't improve he might need to see the vet.

This morning he seemed a little better(well besides being grumpy he didnt get to go for his walk). He will continue to stay on "bed rest" this weekend. He ain't going to be happy but it is for the better,right?
