I have a previously potty trained 2 1/2 year old female who started peeing in the house. I took her to the vet and they put her on Proin. I thought it was helping as she hadnt had an incident in 2 weeks. And now today AGAIN she peed in the same spot she peed the last 3 times. It doesn"t happen very often so I'm starting to think it may be behavoiral. She's a very well behaved dog normally, has good manners and on the timid side. Is this the Terrible Twos??
I would greatly appreciate your feedback on this subject.
I'd have her checked for a UTI.....
What was the Proin for? infection or incontinence?
My boston terrier will pee in the house on occasion, she is just being a brat. Instead of waiting for me to let her out she will pee on the carpet by the door.

why is she on proin? this sounds medically related. i wouldn't get mad at her. it isn't her fault - she isn't doing this to be mean! it is frustrating but not her fault

The Prion was given to her for incontinence after they treated her for 2 weeks with antibiotic for UTI.
Maybe if have a brat too!
UTI was the initial diagnosis, but they didn't check her urine at that appt. The vet put her on antibiotic for 2 weeks assuming because she was so young that it must be a UTI. Follow-up urine specimens were clean so they put her on Proin for incontinence.
The Prion is for incontinence. Guess I should call the vet back maybe we need to adjust the dosage.
so - they put the dog on proin but don't have a diagnosis? I personally wouldn't go this route, I would get a diagnosis. You can test to see if a dog has a UTI.

Yes, I used generous amounts of natures Miracle enzyme formula.
