On Tuesday Duke had a bout of diarhhea. Wasn't quite pure liquid, more soft pudding consistency. I withheld his food for 24 hours, then started a bland diet (chicken and rice) about half ration. His appetite is normal. He's drinking water but not as much as usual. I figure this is because his bland diet has some water in it whereas the kibble is dry.
Since the diarrhea, he hasn't had a bowel movement. Should I be worried and call the vet? He normally poops twice a day on the average.
I would have thought that he would have something coming through by now.

Okay, I'll count to ten while you go hide.
It wouldn't hurt to call the vet if he doesn't have one by this afternoon. I can't remember how long it was before Caleb went again after going through this. Also, keep in mind that the rice will "bind him up" some, too.
I just got off the phone with the vet and she said to give him until about one this afternoon, you must be psychic! She also said I could start adding some of his regular kibble back into his meals.

LOL More like, between kids and dogs, I've had plenty of experience with diarhhea.
Yep. I start with out buy adding just a handful or so, and gradually increase the amount of dog food while decreasing the bland diet, over a few meals.
Yay, he pooped. Other than being yellowish (not his normal color) it was normal. To reward him he got to go through the bank drive-thru and get his biscuit.
