    Default Mild anemia - why?

Anyone has any experience with dogs with mild anemia? I recently adopted a 7 yr old dog and he had to have 12 teeth removed (totally rotten). The vet said this is probably the cause . But was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and what the reason was in their dog's case.

I haven't had a dog with it, but I know fleas can cause it, and even kill a young puppy or small dog. The teeth are probably a result of poor nutrition and never being cleaned.

The kibble they Had him on is pretty bad. I'm hoping I just need to keep his nutrition up and this will pass. Reading scary stuff about cancer though... but his is a mild case.

There are several links for flea anemia. You can google it, but here is one for now: 01 Flea Anemia - VeterinaryPartner.com - a VIN company!
