struvite crystals and diet?

Wilson is 10 months old now. Around 7 months he got a severe uti, and was peeing blood. When they did his u/a they found struvite crystals, just a couple, and he also had hi ph. All expected with his infection. After he finished his abx we rechecked his urine, no more bacteria, no more blood, but still struvite crystals, hi ph and hi protein. So she said struvite crystals can be found in perfectly healthy dogs and no reason for worry. But i could recheck in a month to see if they were gone... So yesterday we rechecked. TONS TONS TONS of struvite crystals!!!! She asked if he seems like it hurts when he pees? No. what does he eat? Wellness super 5 mix chicken. Started on uroeze , will give for one week and recheck next saturday. She doesnt think its diet related. But i was doing alot of research on the topic, and there are alot of people who switched their dogs to grain free higher protein, lower carb foods, and it prevented their dogs from getting struvite crystals anymore. One of the foods was orijen.
Do any of you have any experience with struvite crystals? ANd any help from changing their diet?

I had a pug with struvite crystals but they had more to do with partial paralysis and being unable to empty his bladder properly. Sounds like you have a very different situation on your hands.

My cat had struvite crystals and changing his diet to urinary health kibble helped almost right away. Not sure if it's as easy for dogs.
