Really? When? I wasn't aware of any and I'm usually totally anal about that stuff. I feed my cat Wellness dry food and also Merrick wet food. Yikes, should I be thinking of getting him off the Merrick? How long ago was the recall?

I just wanted to say thank you again for the input here. My part lab/border collie just loves the TOTW bison/venison mix. I am still mixing it with the food she has been on but wow what a difference she just loves it. I have also tried a tip from you all here about mixing in a little water. I do this and I think she thinks she is getting gourmet cuz she goes crazy and actually eats her entire dinner in one setting now. Its great to see her eating so well. I have also reduced the amount we feed her in line with what she should be getting. We were definitely over feeding her over the years. So, here is hoping to some weight loss. The vet says at least 5 lbs but would like to see her lose 10.

So thank you again for educating me and giving me advice - it is truly appreciated!

    You're very welcome!!
If you do have to cut back the food a little more to encourage weight loss you can add in a can of no salt green beans to her food. It will help her feel fuller without adding extra calories.

    Good luck!!!

So it's been just over 2 weeks now and she is fully adjusted to the TOTW food. I have never had her on such a regulated and timely feeding schedule. No longer are the days where the food bowl stays filled and who knows when or how much she eats. She gets her 3 cups mixed in water which she loves and eats it all in one setting. We have also been walking her more and though I haven't actually weighed her it is quite obvious visually she is toning up and losing the weight. I truly think her coat is getting shinier too. She is so happy for dinner time now - love it! Should have looked into this years ago. I love this forum!

We've had Sophie, now 10 months on TOTW since she was 4 months. She has done great on it! She has been so much healthier and has a beautiful coat and is shiny and beautiful.
