Default Blood found in lab urine

Just yesterday, my 2yr old mixed lab urinated with blood, it happened yesterday afternoon, twice. The blood was not mixed with the urine but it wasn't a large amount. It smelled worse than his usual pee. We observed his urine last night until today and it was back to normal, no blood no foul smell whatsoever. Is this normal cause I'm not sure if he's ill or not. He seemed fine when urinating but he doesn't seem to be as energetic as usual. Although he does not seem that lethargic either. I don't know if I'm just paranoid or he's not really his usual self.

I'll be taking him to the vet this weekend but I want to know ASAP if finding blood in urine is fatal or urgent. Please help me. :c

I wouldn't wait until the weekend, I would take him now. I don't know what it is (it could be a UTI or it could be something worse). I definitely wouldn't wait all week.

As above, blood in the urine calls for a visit to the vet ASAP! I hope he is ok.

I agree. UTI's are painful (trust me, I know firsthand). I'd get a urine sample and run that into the vet ASAP

I would take him to the vet now! Just because you didn't see blood in the last little while doesn't mean there is not a problem. Blood and smelly urine is not normal!

If he is an unneutered male this could be a prostrate infection, it happens a lot and is not fatal.. he'll be okay, but have your vet check him.
