Puppy crazies!

So Miss Ella didn't have her surgery for her torn cruciate ligament on Wednesday due to some unfortunate circumstances with her surgeon. She is scheduled to go for surgery on Wednesday. In the meantime, aside from locking her in her crate, is there any way I can keep her from her daily (sometimes three times a day!!) "puppy crazies"? I understand it's normal, and I understand it is probably still happening and so frequent because she is not allowed to run/go on walks, but I am afraid she will hurt her leg even more. Or worse, will injure the other one since there is a 50% chance she will need the ligament repaired in her other knee. She literally jumps on and off the furniture, and RUNS into the walls!!!

you could try a little benadryl. 25mgs per 25lbs twice a day.

Yup we do that. And it doesn't really work

Poor baby. Aside from using the crate and leash constantly I have no other advice. I sure hope surgery and recovery go well.
