Weird skin problems

not any of my crew thank the lord but my aunts dog Missy. She is an older cocker and has had skin problems for a long time. The vet has looked at her at does not know what her problem is. They ruled out fleas and grass allergies. I was thinking food since they feed ol'roy but i'm not for sure. I know you cant diagnose a dog over the internet but Im wondering if anyone else had similar problems. She doesn't have any red spots but just clumps of fur missing. She used to be a very pretty dog but now her coat is not shiny and she looks like she has mange(vet checked already and it cam back with nothing). They have gone to 3 vets including the vet i go to and I trust them fully. She is on antibiotics right now for some reason. She is also getting an anti-itch cream. They have tried different shampoos and cant find one that will help. She is going back to the vet soon. All there other dogs a fine and have nice coats.

It probably wouldn't hurt to change the food. Ol Roy is not a good food, and maybe the dog has developed an allergy.

Do you know if they did blood work (especially thyroid test) on her?

Im not for sure. I will ask though. It breaks my heart to see her in pain. These are not the best pictures but you can see her hair get thinner. On her butt it is completely bare. She is a happy dog but you can see in this pic she is in pain.

It could be food allergy. It wouldn't hurt to try grain free. Old Roy is pretty much all corn and grain. It's a low quality food.

I agree with a food change. I would also get a second opinion from another vet. Perhaps a derm vet or holistic.

Prayers they figure this out and she heals quickly.

Olando had bad alleries. He would itch and develop bad scabs, once over 3/4 of his face! Turns out it was food allergies and we could only feed him chicken and venison, whichich we got from deer processors locally. It not only worked to prevent his itching and scabbing, but made him like he was a puppy again! He recently died at almost 15 years old.Dog_0004.jpg
