hello, anyone feed thier dogs the adult specific Eukanuba labrador food? its in a black bag usually sold at pet stores and around about 60 bucks for the biggest bag. i was really excited when i came across it cause i liked the idea that something was made just for my dog. i doubt its made specifically for them but i like to think that. anyways when i bought it and got it home Dally boy was not having it! he smelt it and looked at me like you have got to be kidding me dad you expect me to eat this...? well i wasted 65 dollars on food cause unless he is starving he doesnt eat it. i bought him beneful adult dog food and he likes that much better but i have heard mixed reviews on that food as well.

Breed specific food is a marketing scam. I would not support any company that treats consumers like suckers.
Beneful is basically Twinkies in dog food form. Not what I'd choose to feed my dog.
You might want to try Pro Plan Selects - many breeders feed Pro Plan and swear by it.

I will say I used to think Iams/Eukanuba was good quality well I guess compared to Purina Chow or something it is... but you actually feed less of the more expensive stuff and you will see a difference I am sure. We started at Iams and ended at Taste of the Wild...you can find online sources that have auto shipping and you get free shipping and % discounts..well worth it for a great quality food IMHO.Both our dogs and cats we have seen changes as we increased quality. Good Luck!
We started on Iams too. Now feed TOTW. We get it at the local farmer's co-op. 30lbs costs about $45. Canned (which we get for an occasional treat) is $2.19 can. If you got to their website, there is a store locator where you can find it to buy.
