Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Magnus has been on a very small dosage of Ivermectin for localized magne on his paws that topical treatment did not clear up. Last Wednesday I gave him his Comfortis and he was fine. I was never told that these two medicines didn't mix and Comfortis says on the box that there are no know complications. When some friends picked him up from daycare, he was stumbling and running into everything. I rushed home from work and brought him to the emergency vet. They knew exactly what happened and assured me that he would be fine. Since he was blind as a bat and at risk for severe seizures, He stayed the night. He got his sight back mostly within a day and completely by last Friday. The vet was very upset and apologetic, and took care of the bill for me.
Wow that is so scary Im glade he is better thanks for letting us now cause Kimber takes comfortis now I will really make sure before I give her any meds together not that I didnt before, but now I really will be aware.
how scary

What is Comfortis for? Never heard of it.

Yikes! Like Laura said- how scary! I hope Magnus has no lingering problems.
It's a "flea pill", Sharon.
